Where service to the elderly
begins by being a friend

Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly is a national network of non-profit, volunteer-based organizations committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly. We offer to people of good will the opportunities to join the elderly in friendship and the celebration of life.

Our services are free of charge to the elderly.

The purpose of our organization

Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly extends friendship to those 60 and older who are without regular support from family or friends. By visiting, socializing, and offering programs that promote independent living, we strive to meet the emotional and physical needs of our elderly friends.

For some, isolation comes with growing older. Children move away to follow their work, spouses and friends die, a car wears out and is not replaced, or a driver's license is surrendered or revoked because of illness.

This isolation is compounded by poverty.

In these difficult situations we extend a helping hand. Our programs combat loneliness and help our elderly friends remain in their own homes.
